Obituary of Margaret T. Holmes

Margaret T. Holmes, age 73, of Brooklyn passed away on Saturday, April 08, 2017. A truly sincere woman of faith and leadership who lived to help others in need. A well-respected social worker, Margaret devoted her life helping children, teens, elderly and homeless. Survived by her daughter, Mary M. Browne and her father, Bill Holmes. Beloved grandmother of Danny and Elizabeth. Loving Aunt of Vinny, Terry, Patty, Joe, the late Kevin, John, Robin, David, Scott, Timmy and Lizabeth. Cherished great aunt of 31 and great-great aunt of 9 nieces and nephews. Treasured sister in law of Pat Baiardi. Dear mother in law of Kevin P. Browne. Adored pets of Margaret, "Her Boys", Brownie and Sammy. Margaret will be welcomed into Heaven by her daughter, the late Kelly, as well as her siblings; the late Vincent Baiardi and the late Josephine Baiardi. Reposing Tuesday, April 11 from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 12 at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn, NY. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn. Please see SERVICE INFORMATION for details and directions.
