Tony left a huge impression on me as well as my two younger brothers I will never forget camping trips, meetings on Friday nights, swimming at the boys club and canoe trips! Order of the Arrow was also special with him, he had many artifacts.
One of my memories was when we wrapped Christmas gifts for the less fortunate and he began singing ....what a voice!!!
Let the fires of friend ship burn! Attached is a letter he wrote to my parents after completing my first summer camp
He is forever in my heart

My dear friend Tony Pinnavia we graduated PS179 and Erasmus Hall HS together in Brooklyn, NY. He also received the music school medals of both schools. We both were Boy Scouts inTroop 75. Tony was a dedicated scout leader for many years, dedicated to his family, God and Scouting. A talanted wood woodcarver and had an excellent musical singing voice he graced us all in school and church.
I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM. GOD bless you Tony
I will miss you. You were loved by all.
Wakoochies Forever.

Tony, I just was trying to send you an email but found that I couldn't. After I just found out and am so sorry to have hear of this. I am heartbroken and my prayers are with you in your rest and with your Family.
Tony was such a special Man, a true role model. In my time with Scouting and with Tony, he had taught me a great many things that I have been able to pass down to my children. Doing and being my best, putting others first and a love of the outdoors. I am and will always be grateful to him. I will never forget you and am proud to have known you! You have helped make me the person I am today!
Sincerely,
Matt Donovan

My deepest condolences to the Pinnavaia family in loving memory of Tony, a dear friend and colleague from our days shared in the Good Shepherd Choir. May he find a place of light, happiness and peace with the Lord - and may all of you find comfort in the knowledge that so many others share your sorrow.

Dear Maura and Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Tony's passing. Tony touched my life from a young age. . From my grandparents house in Brooklyn to their Home in Narrowsburg NY, Tony was part of the family. I will never forget the wonderful, kind man with that warm smile who was part of my childhood.

I have such great memories of Tony as Scoutmaster of Troop 75 when I was a kid. He was a phenomenal role model and taught me so much about the outdoors and about what it meant to be a leader. Much of what I learned that helped me succeed in life I learned in the Scouts, and specifically Troop 75 under Tony. May he Rest In Peace and his family gain solace in the knowledge that Tony made a huge difference in many boys' lives, long before he had a family of his own.
