My Aunt Sis memories are of us smiling, happy and laughing. As a child, if we had a special occasion to go to, it always meant I would get a moment I woulc love and cherish. Mom, Aunt Sis and Uncle Joe would pick me up sometimes early from school, and we had the most fun shopping. One time my parents, Aunt Sis and Uncle Joe taking me to a party in New Jersey. I think I laughed the whole way there.
What I will always treasure is that during some of my saddest moments. I always had her trying to keep everything normal. I remember having a very hard time at 12 accepting my nanny had went home to heaven. I was having a hard time going to the wake, my mom let me have a break, and I got to spend the day with Aunt Sis and Uncle Joe. It brought me happiness, and I was able to talk with Aunt Sis what i was feeling so I could go to the wake the next day. She was a safe comfort place.
Getting older when my dad would try to escape his hospital stays (dad hated hospitals). My mother was banned because she made him stay there. I would bring Aunt Sis as the warden the two of them together was always always hilarious. He once first put my sister out of the room then Aunt Sis was banished right after her. I believe I was still liked, but I was allowed to go since everyone else was waiting downstairs for me. My dad and Aunt Sis the spitfire siblings always a comedy together reunited. Heaven will never be the same lol.
As I became an adult the phone calls and visits with Aunt Sis as I was dealing with mom being sick. Her understanding me was always the safe comfort zone. Her saying to me come on cookie you know you got this. It would be the smile I always needed.
I remember her, Laurie and me going out to dinner at the diner a month or so after mommy went home. It was one of the first nights during that time I could reminecse, smile laugh and tell stories. To this day one of my favorite diner experiences ever.
Aunt Sis I will love you always, and your laughter, smiles and memories will forever be in my heart. Try not to cause too much trouble with daddy and you now both up in heaven. I love you. Kelly xxoo

All of my memories of Aunt Sis include her smiling. When I was little, my mother would walk our family over to her house to have the familiar "cup of tea". Being the oldest, I always got to sit at the table and listen to the ladies talk about the gossip of the day. There are may fond memories of sitting in Aunt Sis's tidy kitchen. She would make me grape soda by mixing Welch's grape juice and carbonated water from these special bottles she had delivered. They were delicious! And only available at Aunt Sis' house. In the summers, when the windows would be open, often a fly would come in the house. I couldn't have been more that 4 years old and was really afraid of flies for some reason. She told me the fly's name was Herman and he was her pet and I should be afraid. It worked. When I was lucky enough to have a sleepover at her house, she made me feel like a princess.
The last time I saw her was a few years ago. She impressed me with her vigor and tenacity. She could be a spitfire. Now that she will be reunited with my father, I hope he doesn't give her too much trouble. He too was a spitfire, just in a different way.
In recent years, when I had a chance to catch up with her, she was always talking proudly of her grandkids. She loved them deeply.
We will miss her immensely.
