Obituary of Cathleen T. O'Brien

Cathleen Therese O’Brien (nee Flood) entered eternal rest on Friday August 5, 2016. She was for these last 36 years the widow of Eugene Patrick O’Brien. Devoted and loving mother to Keri and Mary O’Brien. Cathleen has four grandchildren, Margot, Ryan, Timmy, and Kelly whom she loved very much and meant the world to her. Cathleen, also known as Kitty, is now joining Gene and her parents John and Mary as well as her siblings Jackie, Joan, Joe, Jimmy, Billy, Patrick, and Maryann, all of whom she dearly missed. She loved and cared for her nieces and nephews and their children, including the ones who have gone before her. She loved “Her People.” And even Callaway, Brownie, and Roo. Cathleen was low key, but would make her presence well known as needed. This presence is going to be missed. The family requests that in place of flowers or gifts that a donation be made to Visiting Nurse Service of New York(VNSNY) who took such good care of her when she needed it the most. Cathleen will be laid to rest on Wednesday August 10, 2016 following the Committal Service at St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, New York.
