Obituary of Christine Patricia Matthews

Christine Patricia Hunter was born in the country of Jamaica, West Indies, Kingston, to Joseph and Merl Hunter, on December 17, 1966. A beautiful and wonderful soul, she was raised by loving parents who instilled in her a sense of love for family. Christine grew up to be a most excellent young woman who became a proud mother herself to her loving son, Tamani, fathered by Michael Dodd. Driven by that sense of family, she migrated to the U.S. to support her son and family, due to the untimely death of her father. Christine took control and contributed to the financial support of her family and son. She worked as a nanny because children were so attracted to her. Christine met her surviving husband, Vincent Matthews in Brooklyn, NY. Vincent married her for the beautiful spirit she showed, on August 22, 1997. This year would have made nine-teen years had her life not been cut short due to illness. Her mother died just two years prior, as she lamented, “I wish I could have been there to see her before she closed her eyes”. Christine left a mark of love on everyone who knew her due to her loving upbringing. The Hunter and Matthews families will know the loss of Christine, as a valued asset of their lives. Life will never be the same without her. Christine Matthews died leaving her only son Tamani Dodd, her husband, Vincent and her respectful family of three sisters and five brothers: Sandra Hunter, Carol Hunter James, Michelle Hunter Hall, Ian Webb, Gregory Hunter, Howard Hunter, Wayne Hunter, and Kirk Hunter. This most excellent woman will surely be missed by all who knew her and will continue to live on in our hearts and memories, but most of all in the memory of Jehovah God Almighty whom her husband served as she gave him support, will live again on a paradise earth.
