Obituary of Angelina C. Carvalhido

Angelina C. Carvalhido, a longtime resident of Rockaway Point, died on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the St. Joachim & Anne Residences in Coney Island. She was 95. Daughter of the late Frank and Antoinette (Basso) DiPippa, she was born in Manhattan on August 24, 1919. On September 19, 1943, she married Joseph F. Carvalhido at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Manhattan. Before moving to Rockaway, they lived in Brooklyn for many years. Angelina was predeceased by Joseph on February 13, 2006. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Joseph & Marie Carvalhido of Manhattan and Michael & Linda Carvalhido of Freehold, NJ; her grandchildren and their spouses, Joseph & Brittany Carvalhido of Baton Rouge, LA, Stephanie & Douglas McHoul of Fishkill, NY, John & Marie Carvalhido of Breezy Point, and Michael & Kristina Carvalhido of Neptune, NJ; her great-grandchildren, Madelyn & Nolan McHoul and Dane & Ian Carvalhido; her niece, Annette Thompson & her husband Steven of Breezy Point; her nephew, Frank Caroleo of Breezy Point; her great-niece, Danielle Flood & her husband Tommy of Breezy Point; and many other loving relatives & friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Gina & Mickey Caroleo.
