Obituary of John T. Jones

John Thadeus Jones, was born on October 9th, 1941 in Bagotville on the West Bank of Demera ra in Guyana to the parents of the late Lenny Priscilla and Joseph Jones. He was the 7th child of eight children. As a young man, John loved dancing with Sid and the Slickers. He joined the Guyana prison service in 1966. He later met and married Joan Roberts (Daphne) on April 29th 1968, from this union five children were born. John and his family later migrated to the United States on May 1st 1989, where he joined FJC security service until he retired in 2006. We remember the days of when he was there to run after the kite when one of us would lose it on Easter Monday, he was there to take us to Mashramani day celebration with one child sitting on his neck to watch the floats pass by and the other two holding on each leg, when there was a new grandchild a large bag of baby supplies would be given to us, he would have stand on his feet teaching us how to waltz, he told us childhood stories of how much he loved eating, he told us of many childhood ghost stories , but most of all right or wrong he had our backs and will defend us until the end. The beautiful soul we celebrate today was the best father any one can ask for. Leave to cherish his memories are his four daughters Seanne,Wanda ,Jacqueline,Marcel , His son Rondel, Grandchildren Vonetta,Tawana,Shayne,Malachi,tyrell,Tashawn,Troy,Tyree,Ashora,Aerolon and Tion. Sisters Edna, Inez and Vashti. Brothers Jabez and Joseph . Nephews and nieces Johnsley ,Janet,Faye Errol ,Jennifer Rawl and others. Great uncle of Chanel, Tracy,Dewayne,Rashley and many others.
