Ms.Carroll, you were always a bright woman who loved serving God and its people. You were a brilliant math teacher, and always cared for your students. You might not believe me but ever since i was in Mary Queen of Heaven since pre-k, I had a dream. And that dream was for you to see me graduate from your 8th grade class. There is no doubt in my mind that you are in God's good hands and will be taking care of for the rest of eternity. I hope to see you in Heaven when my time comes. Mary queen of Heaven will never be the same without your joyful spirit.

Maura was such a beautiful person inside and out. She had a special glow that was deeply extraordinary and she had an extremely positive demeanor and spirit. I feel so fortunate and privileged to have known her. I could always count on her to remember me and my family each year at Thanksgiving. This special kindness always touched me and I will miss knowing she walks this planet today, but will hopefully reunite with her one day. To her brothers, sister Jamie and parents - my heart and prayers are with you all. Much love, Nancy Lowman LaBadie, Marietta College

i met Maura as a 16 year old high school student: we hung out always; then, she and I both went to the same College and became Sorority sisters; I only have fond memories of Mo; she was sweet, had beautiful skin and hair; and was always, always, just a kind and gentle being. Her passing was way too soon, and like I told her brother Greg; I hope she is greeted in Heavan by another friend and Sorority sister taken too soon- Sally Pfau; I sincerely hope Sally is there to greet Mo, and what a beautiful reunion that would be; to my friend, Maura; I wish I had been a deeper friend to you, but know how much I respected you as a person, may I hope you will greet me when my time comes, it would be so incredible. My heart is with the family that is in pain for your loss right now, may you be at peace. With love, Tam

I thought that Maura was so great! I loved her in my RCIA class and learned so much from her. Not only did I love her smile, her voice, and spirit, I also thought that her teaching style was so clear so easy to retain. The best part is that I actually got to tell her these things that I loved about her several times during the months. Maura Carroll will truly be missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to the Carroll family.

My heartfelt condolences to all of the Carroll family. Maura was one of my dearest friends at Marietta. We lived across the hall freshman year and again senior year. My brother Bill and Gregg were fraternity brothers at MC so I felt like we were extended family. Maura's quick wit and terrific laugh are among my best memories. I'm sure her humor made her classroom fun to be in. She certainly could tell the best stories! Maura will be missed by many. I will miss my friend.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Carroll. She was my eighth grade teacher and Math teacher for 5th through 8th grades. I remember her smile and laugh and knew even as a kid that she was the epitome of a good teacher who loved her profession. She was the capstone for many of us as we ended our MQH time..and she made it fun! So many good memories. The world has suffered a loss. RIP Ms. Carroll.

Maura....we loved having you as our friend. We are so lucky to have known you. You were an anchor to so many girls who might not have found each other's friendship, if not for you. I am sorry that on your first day of third grade, I tricked you into locking the bathroom doors of the girls room. Especially when we got caught. I tell that story every year in my classroom. I am sure you have touched lives as a teacher, and those students have been glad to have been in your classroom. I loved your attitude towards life, and you devotion to your family. Glad to know you and I celebrate your life and gifts to others.

Ms. Carol was truly a remarkable teacher. I ran into her many years ago during my commute to work and as soon as she got on the bus she sat right down next to and we chatted the entire ride she
asked about entire family and how
my life was going. She was so kind and I pray for her soul to rest in peace in the loving arms of the Lord. Gone too young.

I send my condolences to the Carroll family. I lived across the hall from Maura at Marietta College. She introduced me to all things preppy. A few years after we graduated I was touring NYC and she was leading her class on a trip to South Street Seaport. We had a nice reunion. I have fond memories of Maura, she must have been a wonderful teacher.

I am heartsick over this news. My most sincere condolences to the Carroll family. Maura was one of my first friends at Marietta and we lived on the same floor of Dorothy Webster. I've tried to find her over the years but have just never been able to connect. Loved Maura's "no-nonsense" attitude, incredible wit and beautiful smile. And that gorgeous red hair! What wonderful memories. Mo, you will be missed!
