Diane and the Higgins family-
I was very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing, she was always a pleasure to see at Flight 1549 events and her smile was so bright and wide. As the oldest survivor she was a great example of living a long life to the fullest. She is a great ambassador in heaven for the survivors, when we do finally "cross the river" she will be waiting.
Sincerely,
Steve O'Brien

My wife and I would like to express our deepest sympathy at the passing of your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I remember Lucille from that day on the Hudson River. I remember her as being amazingly calm and gracious in the face of great adversity. Clearly, she was a remarkable woman, loved and treasured by her family and many friends, and will be deeply missed. Hopefully, your happy memories of her, and the knowledge that she led a long life, well lived, will give you comfort at this time of loss.

I was so fortunate to have known Lucille since 1958, she was as close to my second mom as you could get. She was always more than kind to all of us rebelious teenagers and she and her wonderful Lenny always welcomed us into their home unconditionally. They were a very important part of our formative years. We always had a second home and another set of wonderful parents. God Bless you Lucille, rest in peace now that you are reunited with Lenny and thank you for being such a wonderful part of our lives. Our most sincered condolences to your wonderful family. Love, Susan and John Towey xoxoxo

So sorry to hear of Lucille's passing. I was also blessed to have survived the miracle of the Hudson, and to also have met such a beautiful lady! She was selfless, as I recall her clearly telling me to "go ahead" as we exited to the wing. She will always be remembered by her 1549 family!
