Obituary of Richard L. Denny

Richard L. Denny died on February 25, 2015 after a valiant determination to keep on fighting. He died surrounded by his loving family by his side. He was born on June 27, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Frank & Clara (nee Lewis). Rich was a life long Brooklynite who loved his Brooklyn Dodgers, NY Yankees and the rails with which New Yorkers roll, NYCTA. He was a walking Wikipedia with a thirst for history and fact. Rich fought steadfastly these past six years to maintain a quality of life, as his health declined his love, devotion and reliance on his wife Angela only increased. Rich enjoyed nothing more in the end than just being at home with Angela. He is survived by his devoted wife Angela (nee Sugrue). His dear son Richard and his wife Lizzie and of course his loving Jojo Joanne. He always recalled fondly to mind his brothers Raymond and Frank. Rich was a cherished Uncle and Friend who never forgot where he came from and always remembered those from his past with his own sense of great sentimentality. It should be recognized how Rich selflessly gave himself to his in-laws....he was at every family function be it a holiday, birthday or graduation of his extended in -laws. The time and devotion he showed to his late mother in law Angelina was thankless... Shopping for her, driving her to doctor appointments and countless other acts. It was a true reflection of his quite character and silent charity. May his repose be that of peace.
