Ed was amazing. There will never be anyone like him. He had a way of making you feel like the most special person around. His eyes actually lit up when you walked into the room. My family and I feel truly blessed to have known him and been loved by him. We will always remember his thoughtful, kind and generous ways and especially his big loving smile. I will always remember his nickname for me, his "Italian Beauty". It is extremely difficult to accept the fact that he is no longer here. We loved him dearly and will miss him with all of our hearts. We will cherish our memories with him and feel his spirit within us. Our love and prayers are with his family and friends today and always.
Love always, Andrew, Patri, Elizabeth and Sarah Guarneri

Dear Linda,
Dorothy and I were so saddened to learn of the passing of Ed. We loved him and so admired his courage as he fought to get better for the last several months. A more loving, kind and compassionate friend can not be found. He blessed the lives of all who were fortunate enough to have crossed his path. Dorothy and I were both honored to be numbered among his friends. May our Heavenly Father bring you the peace and comfort that only he can give. We send you our deepest love and will continue to remember you and your family in our prayers.

What a great friend Ed was. He was much more than just a fantastic salesman who always went to bat for his retailers. When my wife and I lost our two boys, it was Ed that brought our story to the Two Ten Footwear Foundation, and that great organization helped ease the financial burden that comes along with losing a loved one. His era, the one of genuine, good-hearted people is fast becoming a thing of the past. I’d like to say on behalf of myself, my wife, Suzy, Gia and the rest of the employees at Back to Basic’s Western Wear that Ed will always have a place in our hearts and he will be sorely missed. One day we will meet again. God bless to the Romano family.
Sincerely,
Bob and Suzy Wert, Gia and the staff at Back to Basic’s Western Wear

Ed Romano, my great friend will be so missed! He came from a family of Last-Makers, how cool is that? Ed was the classiest, most passionate, sincere person I have ever known in this business. He left his mark on many of us who can only hope to honor his name by treading lightly in his footsteps. I for one, will NEVER forget him.
My deepest sympathies for his family,

Dear Linda & Family,
We share your grief and sorrow at Ed's passing. He was the nicest, kindness, most gentle man we have ever known. We will miss him dearly.
We shared over twenty years in the western industry together and the best memories are his "bear-hug" greetings and infectious smile when we got together.
Rest in peace, dear friend.

When we think of Ed, all we can do is smile...that's because that is what Ed made you do. Whether he was giving you a great big hug, a gentle squeeze, treating you to a special treat, paying you a compliment or just being Ed, he left you feeling loved and that always makes you smile. We feel blessed to have known Ed for the past 25 years! In all that time we we have shared meals, vacationed, partied and most of all been close friends (really family) and the friendship we shared was a gift. We will miss Eddie dearly and he will always be a part of our family. We know that God put Ed on earth because he wanted to brightened up the world...and that's just what Ed did, brighten up any life he touched. We will always remember him and keep his memory alive by celebrating all those wonderful times we shared. Thank you Eddie...we love and miss you!

We celebrate the life of our dear friend Ed by recalling some cherished memories of almost 50 years. First the bike he used to deliver groceries as a teenager in Queens. Having one of the first cars in the neighborhood and so generous with giving rides.Playing touch football on the hill at QCC. A member of our wedding party almost 45 years ago! His golf game on weekends with his brother Al and other friends. The love for his sister MaryAnn, his brother Al and Al's wife Rose and their growing family. Playing Santa at Al's store. Our children loved that! His generosity, love of horses and visits to Saratoga. Finding Linda and finally marriage. How lucky for him that he found Linda and her family and made them his own. Children and grandchildren he could and did brag about and a wife to love, who loved him. Sadly,it ended too soon, but Ed lived a life he loved with people he loved and that love him. We were very fortunate to have him. All our Love, Jerry and Eileen
