Obituary of George Kornienko

George Kornienko, age 52, of Belle Harbor passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017. Mr. Kornienko was born May 5, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of George A. and the late Elizabeth (Lissenden) Kornienko.

George atteneded school at the SUNY Cortlandt University. George worked hard and enjoyed operating and owning the Rocky Sullivan Bar in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Rocky Sullivan's  is the neighborhood place to go where everyone was made to feel comfortable and have a good time. 

He is survived by his father George A. Kornienko. He is the beloved brother of Lee Ann Carmody with her husband Richard. He is the cherished uncle of Jillian and Elizabeth.

Visiting hours will be Monday, July 10 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 11 at Resurrection R.C. Church, 2331 Gerritsen Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. Committal will be private cremation.
