Obituary of Marcia M. Valentine

Marcia M. Valentine, age 64, of Brooklyn entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Marcia was born February 17, 1953 in Tela, Honduras. She is the daughter of the late Harold and the late Lunette A. (Bennette) Valentine.  Loving mother of Michele M. Hodges. Cherished grandmother of A'Mya. Dear sister of Harold Valentine, Myra Duncan and Clement Valentine.

A limb has fallen from the family tree.

I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.

Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.

The good life I lived while I was strong.

Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.

Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.

My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.

Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small.

Go on with your life, don't worry about falls

I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.

The wake service will take place at St. Augustin Episcopal Church  4301 Avenue D, Brooklyn, NY 11203 on Thursday May 18th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 PM at St. Augustin Episcopal Church. 

The family will gather on Friday morning May 19, 2017 at 1401 Troy Avenue at 10:00 AM.  From their home the funeral procession will be lead family and friends to Evergreen Cemetery 1629 Bushwick Avenue, Brooklyn, NY  for the committal service at graveside.
