Obituary of Deacon Daniel J. Marley

Deacon Daniel J. Marley died peacefully at home on March 2, 2017. He was 82. The son of the late Joseph & Clara, he was born February 21, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY. Deacon Dan served our Country with the US Army. A dedicated son, Deacon Marley served Our Mother Church with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn having been ordained with its 2nd Diaconate Class. His first Assignment was to Good Shepherd R.C.C. Marine Park, Our Lady of Solace Coney Island and Holy Cross Cemetery Flatbush. He leaves behind his devoted wife Ann Patricia "Patsy". Beloved father of Erin Mallon her husband Michael and Kelly Marley. Cherished grandfather of John Juarez, Maryann Housen, Katie Mallon, Colleen Mallon, Brian Mallon & GG to Mia Housen. A beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in life by his brother & 4 sisters. Reposing Saturday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:00PM at The MARINE PARK FUNERAL HOME, Reposing Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30PM at ST. COLUMBA R.C. CHURCH 2245 Kimball Street Bklyn. Mass of the Resurrection Monday 10:30AM St. Columba R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn. Please take serious consideration to making donations in lieu of flowers to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memory of Deacon Marley. Taking into consideration Deacon Marley will be Reposing at St. Columba's on Sunday during the Lenten Season we wish to observe the reverence of his own vocation and Mother Church that flowers are NOT permitted in the Sanctuary.
