Obituary of Doris J. Eckstein

Doris J. Eckstein, 87, passed away on Thursday July 28, 2016. Doris was born on March 27, 1929 to the late Joseph and Irene Pepperman. Doris was a model community member involved as a Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother. Devoted much time to the P.S. 222 Parent Teachers Association and Senior Ladies Group at St. Columba Roman Catholic Church. During her working years, providing for her family, Doris worked in the admissions office for almost a decade at the local Beth Israel Kings Highway Hospital Center. Doris enjoyed her free time by swimming and bowling. Doris is the beloved wife of the late Martin S. Eckstein. Loving mother of Kenneth Eckstein (AnnMarie) and Debra Eckstein (Karen). Cherished grandmother of David, Rebecca, Daniel and Luke. Adored sister of James, Patricia, the late Betty and the late Carol. Dear companion of Jack Fortunato.
