Obituary of Thomas I. Bowers

Thomas I Bowers, 90 died Wednesday May 4, 2016 at home. Thomas was predeceased by his wife Katherine, leaving behind three children Gail Priola, William Bowers (son )and Judi Bowers and Richard Bowers. He will be greatly missed by his five grandchildren Kim Murphy, Karin Civisca, Kristin Luhrs, Craig Bowers, Leigh Ann Cairo and their spouses . He will greatly missed by his eleven great grandchildren, Katie, Paul, Victoria ,Michael, Jenna, Cameron, Katherine, Emma-Leigh , Allison, Nico and Ryan. Thomas was a veteran who served in the Army, Army Core and Air Force he served during the Korean War. He was an engineer for Con Edison.Thomas was a devout Christian and lifelong Parishioner of St Marks Roman Catholic Church a Eucharist minister and past president of St Vincent de Paul food Panty. Thomas was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Thomas will be missed greatly by many his family and his extended family at St. Marks and everyone who knew him. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to St Marks Roman Catholic Church 2609 E 19th street Brooklyn NY 11235 The visitation for Thomas will be held on on Saturday from 6:00 - 9:00 PM, and again on Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church on Monday May 9, 2016 at 10:30 AM - meeting at Marine Park Funeral Home at 9:30 AM. The Committal Service will be at Calverton National Cemetery, in Calverton New York. Please share Thomas' obituary page on Facebook in order to notify as many friends and family members as possible.
