Obituary of Margaret Mary Reddy

Margaret Mary Reddy, age 75, of Marine Park, Brooklyn, passed away on April 27, 2026. Born on January 22, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, daughter to the late Leonard Reddy and the late Marion Erikson. 

Above all else, Margaret was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and, most important to her, a grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her six beloved grandchildren: Amanda, Ashley, Dylan, Sean, Thomas, and Vincent. Whether she was gathered with her sisters or lighting up a room singing karaoke, Margaret's warmth and spirit were unmistakable. She had a gift for bringing people together and making every moment feel special. 

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved son, Timothy Powers. She is survived by her son, Michael Powers (Kelly); her daughters, Chrissy Powers and Kerri Powers; her brother, Leonard Reddy (Regina); her sisters, beloved sister Lulu Collins (Johnny), Denise Paravella (Billy), and Marion Lucarello (Dana); her six cherished grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. 

Margaret will be missed dearly, but the memories she created with those she loved will live on in every heart she touched. May she find eternal peace in the arms of the Lord. 

Calling hours will be Thursday April 30, 2026, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, May 1, 2026, at St. Columba  2245 Kimball St, Brooklyn, NY 11234.

Margaret will be laid to rest at a later date at Pinelawn Cemetery.
