Obituary of William J Browarek
William J Browarek, 88, of Narrowsburg, NY, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026 in Valhalla, NY. William was born May 23, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Stephen and the late Helen (nee Gucwa) Browarek.
A proud Brooklyn native, he spent most of his life there, carrying with him the values of family, loyalty, and hard work that defined his character.
William honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps, a commitment he held with great pride throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jacquelyne (née Pons) Browarek. This May would have marked their 65th wedding anniversary, a testament to a lifetime of love and devotion. William was a true family man who cherished time spent with those he loved most.
Proud father of Jeannie (Patrick) and Lynn (Christopher), he was the loving grandfather of Kristen (Michael), Dana (Shaun), Danielle (Brendan), and Jason, and the cherished great-grandfather of Madison, MJ, and Michael. Cherished brother of Joan (the late Don.)
He will be remembered for his vibrant personality, his love of karaoke, and his enjoyment of celebrating life with family and friends. His warmth, humor, and spirited nature brought joy to all who knew him.
William's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Calling hours will be Thursday, April 30 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, May 1 at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, 1550 Hendrickson Street, Brooklyn, NY.
Entombment to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, East Elmhurst.
