Obituary of Christopher George Mentonis

Christopher George Mentonis, 41, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026. Christopher was born March 17, 1985, in Valley Stream, NY. He is the son of George and Patricia (nee Ferrise) Mentonis.

Christopher held a profound and unwavering love for his family. They were the center of his world, and he found his greatest joy in the time spent with them, especially his niece and nephews.

He embraced life fully and found happiness in the things he loved most. Christopher was an avid golfer who cherished time on the course, as well as on the ocean, fishing. He was someone who never passed up a great meal at Peter Luger's. A lifelong New York Yankees fan, Christopher's loyalty and enthusiasm for his team never wavered. Whether watching a game or talking baseball, it was a way he connected with his father and others, sharing something he loved.

Christopher will be remembered for his enduring spirit, his love of life, and the deep connections he formed with those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will carry forward the love he brought into their lives.

Christopher is survived by his devoted parents George and Patricia Mentonis.

He is the beloved brother of Jacqueline Perrone (Christian.)

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29 from 2:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 30 at St. Francis De Sales R.C. Church, 129-16 Rockaway Beach Blvd, Belle Harbor, NY.

Burial to immediately follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
