Kevin Sullivan

Obituary of Kevin Philip Sullivan

Kevin P. Sullivan, 64, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on March 19, 2026. Born in New York City, Kevin lived a life defined by kindness, resilience, and connection with others.

Kevin Sullivan is the son of Benita Cipolla and the late Thomas Sullivan. Stepson to the late Louis Cipolla.  He is survived by the love of his life Joanna DiGianni. Loving brother to George, Maureen, Kathy, Carolyne, Kim and the late John. He was a cherished uncle to Teddy,John, Helen, Myra, Christopher, Benita, Angelo, Nicholas Scarlett, Azalea,Freya, Celeste and Tristan. A beloved cousin, great-uncle, and friend to many.

A true Renaissance man and a jack of all trades, Kevin was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He believed deeply in the power of small acts of kindness, often saying you never know whose life you might change by simply saying hello. That belief guided how he lived every day.

Kevin will be remembered for his love of singing and his gift for storytelling, sharing laughter, wisdom, and warmth with everyone around him. Over the past year, he courageously battled a rare and aggressive cancer. Even through debilitating pain, he continued to uplift others with his voice, his words, and his unwavering encouragement to love one another. During his most difficult moments, he found inspiration in children bravely facing the beginnings of their own cancer journeys.

Kevin passed surrounded by family, in a room filled with the music he loved and the retelling of stories from those who cherished him. He lived a full and beautiful life.

A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on April 19, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Marine Park Funeral Home.

Kevin’s spirit, generosity, and voice will live on in all who knew and loved him.
