Obituary of George Heck

George Heck, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. George was born April 17, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of the late George and the late Evelyn (Terzano) Heck. Beloved brother of Eugene Prosetti and the late Annmarie Lore. George was a dedicated fireman who proudly served his community for over 40 years. His commitment, courage, and service left a lasting impact on those who worked alongside him and the many lives he helped protect. George will be remembered for his dedication, strength, and many years of service to the FDNY. 

Forever In Our Hearts 

When I am called to duty, God, whenever flames may rage, give me strength to save some life, whatever be its age. Help me embrace a little child before it is too late, or save an older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout, and quickly, and efficiently to put the fire out. I want to fill my calling, and to give the best in me, to guard my every neighbor and protect his property. And if, according to my fate, I am to lose my life, please bless with your protecting hand my family and friends.

Reposing on Tuesday, March 10 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
