Arthur Montanaro

Obituary of Arthur Montanaro

Arthur Montanaro, age 92, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and family pride. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Arthur, whom he cherished deeply and carried in his heart always.

Arthur is survived by his brother Raimondo "Ernie" Montanaro, his beloved son, Christopher, and his wife, Michelle. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Vincent and his wife, Caroline, Christopher and his wife, Jillian; and Julia and her husband, Rafael. His greatest joy was being a great-grandfather to Luca James, Lucia Michelle, and Colin Hayes, each of whom brought him immense happiness and pride.

One of ten siblings, Arthur grew up in Brooklyn surrounded by family and carried that strong sense of connection throughout his life. He was loved by many nieces and nephews who will forever remember his warmth, stories, and steady presence.

A passionate sports fan, Arthur proudly supported the New York Rangers, Mets, and Jets. Whether watching a game or talking about his favorite teams, his enthusiasm and loyalty never wavered.

Arthur will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend — a man whose love for family, tradition, and sports brought people together. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
