James A. Mahaney, age 89, of Brooklyn passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026. Mr. Mahaney was born January 5, 1937 in New York, NY. He is the son of the late James J. and the late Rose (Rawdon) Mahaney. Beloved husband of Lillian (Whiteley) Mahaney. Cherished father of William Mahaney (Elizabeth) and Maura Fiquet (William). Dear brother of Patrick Mahaney, Kathleen Durso and the late Philip Mahaney. Adored grandfather of James, Brian, Victoria and Jacqueline.

Wake service will be on Monday January 19, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. 3024 Quentin Road Brooklyn, NY 11234, 718-339-8900.

Funeral mass will be on Tuesday January 20, 2026 at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church at 9:30 AM. 1550 Hendrickson Street Brooklyn, NY 11234.
