Obituary of Joseph Richard Kourbage

Joseph R. Kourbage, age 75, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026. Mr. Kourbage was born March 8, 1950 in Manhattan, NY. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Frances (nee Katinas) Kourbage. 

Mr. Kourbage is a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his devoted wife Christine (nee D'Amelio) Kourbage.

Beloved father of Melanie Kourbage (Emily Bowden) and Nicole Cruz (Gabriel.)

Loving grandfather of Charlotte and Tobias Korden.

Brother of Richard Kourbage (Martha.)

Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 14 from 2:00 – 7:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday, January 15 at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, 1550 Hendrickson Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Private cremation to follow at Green-Wood Crematory, Brooklyn.
