Obituary of Bernhard Clemens
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bernhard Clemens, age 98, of Brooklyn, on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
Bernhard was born on June 29, 1927 in Germany. He was the beloved husband of Marianne Clemens, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship.
Bernhard was a devoted father to Helen, MaryAnne and her husband, Scott. He was also a treasured Opa to his two grandchildren, Christopher and his wife, Lisa, and Emily and her husband, Haresh. His joy extended to his four great-grandsons: Oliver, Theodore, Jesse, and Liam. He is survived by his sister Anneliese Wendt.
Known for his warmth and zest for life, Bernhard found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—fishing with family, watching soccer on tv, and sharing his love of music. As a DJ at the local senior center, he delighted in bringing joy to others through his favorite tunes.
Bernhard’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
