Obituary of George E. Marshall

George E. Marshall, age 89, of Brooklyn, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Born on September 29, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Borthwick) Marshall.

A proud U.S. Marine, George honorably served from 1954 to 1958 and was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal.

Beloved husband of his “Pride & Joy”, Kathleen Marshall. Loving father of Maryanne Marsaggi and her wife, Francine and the late Patricia Marshall. Cherished grandfather of Benjamin and Gabriella. Dear brother of Joan Marie Whitman, Patrick Marshall, the late Charlie Marshall, the late Robert Marshall and the late William Marshall.

 

George was known for his sense of humor and his ability to make everyone laugh. He was an all-around good guy—truly unforgettable. No one who knew George will ever forget the joy and warmth he brought into their lives.

Reposing on Monday, December 8 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 9 at St. Mark R.C. Church, 2609 East 19th Street, Brooklyn.

Burial to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York.
