Obituary of Marjorie Grace Guttenplan

Marjorie Grace Guttenplan of Brooklyn, New York passed away on November 20^th, 2025.

Visitation will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Monday, November 24^th, 2025, 5:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 2:00-5:00PM & 7:00-9:00PM.

Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Queen of Heaven R.C. Church on November 26^th, 2025, at 9:30 AM.

Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, NY.

Marjorie, 70 years of age, was born March 1^st ,1955 in Yonkers, NY to Madeline (Kostinec) and John Armstrong.

She lived in the Bronx and Queens during childhood. She attended Christ the King High School, Laguardia Community College and Queens College. She worked as a Parent Coordinator at Cunnigham IS 234 from 2003-2023. Her career with the NYC Department of Education began in 1993.

Marjorie loved drawing, writing and photography. She was a Yankee fan since childhood. She also loved Barbra Streisand, Broadway shows and cats, especially James.

Marjorie is survived by her husband David Guttenplan, daughters Lauren Guttenplan (Martha), Jennifer Guttenplan, brothers Daniel Armstrong, Lawrence Armstrong (Normadeane), Edward Armstrong (Naomi) and Timothy Armstrong (Sonia) plus seven nephews, one grandnephew and one grandniece.

She will always be in our hearts.
