Born to the late William and Joan Gibson, Tom lived a life defined by warmth, loyalty, and an unwavering devotion to the people and places he cherished.

Tom built a long and successful career as a salesman with Stroh’s and later Red Bull, where he was known for his charisma, tireless work ethic, and the genuine friendships he formed along the way. His easy smile and natural ability to connect with anyone made him not just a valued colleague, but a friend to all who crossed his path.

A proud and lifelong New York sports fan, Tom rarely missed a Mets game and stood faithfully by the Jets through every season. He also loved the golf course, where he found both competition and camaraderie - and where he proudly celebrated a hole-in-one, one of his favorite stories to tell.

Above all, Tom was a devoted father, brother, and family man. He is survived by his beloved son, Billy Gibson, and Billy’s wife, Charlotte, who were the center of his world. Tom also leaves behind his siblings Patricia (Michael), Barbara (Doug), Jane (Edward), James (Marykaye), Christopher (Maureen), and Eileen (John), and many nieces and nephews, each of whom he held close throughout his life.

Tom also shared companionship and friendship with Dolores Ross, whose presence brought him comfort in recent years.

He is reunited in heaven with his parents, William and Joan.

Tom touched countless lives through his kindness, humor, and generosity of spirit. His absence leaves a deep void, but his memory will endure in every life he brightened.

A wake will be held Wednesday, November 19 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY 11234.

A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Thomas More Church on Thursday, November 20, at 11:00 AM, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Tom’s life.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Tom's memory to the Calvary Fund, Inc. of Calvary Hospital, whose compassionate care brought him comfort in his final days.
