Mary O'Shea

Obituary of Mary F. O'Shea

Mary O’Shea (née Valouch), 88 years old, passed away peacefully at home on November 13, 2025 at 11:00am, surrounded by her loving family. Mary moved to Staten Island four years ago after a lifetime in Marine Park, Brooklyn, a community she treasured deeply.

Mary was the beloved mother of Dennis O’Shea (Anne O'Shea), the late Maureen O’Shea and the late Karyn O’Shea. She was the loving grandmother of Nikki Shea (Andrew Sadowski), Heather O’Shea (Keith Parascandola) and Ryan O’Shea, and an adored great-grandmother of Christopher and Riley.

She was a devoted sister to Veronica Heelan, and was predeceased by her siblings Maureen Barrada and James Valouch. Mary was also a cherished aunt to her many nephews and niece, and a proud great-aunt to her grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Veronica Valouch (née DeLap) and Louis Valouch.

Mary was known for her strength, selflessness, and quiet resilience. She always put the needs of others before her own. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
