Obituary of Michael Gerard Daughton

Michael Gerard Daughton, age 65, of Breezy Point, Queens, NY, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025, in Manhattan, NY. Michael Gerard was born August 16, 1960 in Listowel, County Kerry, Ireland. He is the son of Marjorie (nee Moran) and the late Michael Daughton.   

Gerard went to secondary school in Listowel, County Kerry. He worked as a carpenter for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 2790 for 30 years. He enjoyed his self built lakehouse in Vermont, all sports, working with his hands, and visiting with his family & friends in Ireland.

Gerard is survived by his wife Patricia (Logan) Daughton. He will be missed by his mother Marjorie, sister Kathleen (John), Eilish (James), Mairead (Tommy) and Carmel (John), eight nieces and nephews, his uncle Bob Daughton and cousin Cathal Daughton, Sisters-in-law Rosemary Logan, and Anne (Keneally) Logan and brother in law Michael Logan. As well Gerard will be fondly remembered by a wide circle of friends in both Ireland and the USA.

He is preceded in death by his father Michael Daughton, mother-in-law Josephine Logan, father in law Michael F. Logan, cousins Michael and Anne Daughton and brother-in-law Joseph Logan.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the medical team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital and his Visiting Nurse Maria.

Calling hours will be Thursday, August 28 from 2:00 - 5:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 29 9:30 AM at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 204-25 Rockaway Point Blvd., Rockaway Point, NY with Fr. Michael Gelfant officiating. Mass will be live streamed on http://btparish.org/

Burial to immediately follow in St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village.
