Obituary of Maria Giglio

Maria Giglio, 93, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025. Mrs. Giglio was born June 2, 1932 in Italy. She is the daughter of the late Carmelo and the late Teresa (nee Ventura) Russo.

Mrs. Giglio is reunited with her husband, the late Carmelo Giglio.

Beloved mother of Maria Fraschilla and husband Vito Fraschilla, Giovanni Giglio and his wife Francis Giglio, Margherita Russo and husband Tony Russo.

Grandmother of Steven Kish and his wife Ida Essner, Laura Alicia and her husband Brian Alicia, John Carlo and his wife Deanna Giglio, Tony Russo, Jr. and his wife Natalie Russo, Gabriella Wynn and her husband Jesse Wynn, Danielle Jackson and her husband Darius Jackson and Giovanni Russo.

Great grandmother of Vincent Parnell, Brianna Alicia, Jeremy Jamison, Abby Pandolf, Anthony Kish, Christina Russo, Chloe Alicia, Victoria Russo, GianCarlo Giglio, Zaiyah Jackson, Laylah Jackson, Gia Grace Wynn, Valerie Russo and Baby Wynn on the way.

Calling hours will be Monday, August 25 from 2:00 – 5:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 26 at 10:45 AM at St. Mark R.C. Church, 2609 East 19th Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Burial to immediately follow will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island.
