Obituary of Barbara Ann Gilliam
Barbara Gilliam, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, has passed away. She is preceded in death by her loving parents Charles Henry Olsen and Josephine Zeta Gaspar, her loving husband Robert Claude Gilliam and her beloved son James Edward Gilliam whom also left these earthly bonds before her. She is also preceded in death by her siblings Frederick Olsen and Constance Santangelo and her brother-in-law Anthony Santangelo. She leaves behind her sister-in-law Carol Olsen, and her six surviving children, Norma Jean Sessa, Stephan Gilliam, Robert Gilliam, Claudia Nigro, Barbara Lenahan, and Charles Gilliam, and their husbands and wives. She was blessed with an abundance of love from twenty (yes you read that right) grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Mom, we love and miss you. I hope you met Poppa "just beyond the moon", so that he doesn't have to linger there waiting for you any longer. WE love you.
Wake service will be on Tuesday august 12, 2025 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. 3024 Quentin Road Brooklyn, NY 11234, 718-339-8900.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday August 13, 2025 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 10:00 AM. 2146 New York Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11210.
Committal service will immediately follow to Green-Wood Crematory. 500 25th Street Brooklyn, NY 11232.
