Devin Lezama

Obituary of Devin Daniel Lezama

Devin Daniel Lezama of Brooklyn, New York with roots in Trinidad, passed away on July 22nd, 2025 in Antwerp, Belgium. He was visiting the country doing what he loved, attending the Tomorrowland music festival, his favorite of all music events.

Devin was born in Brooklyn, New York to Lystra Lezama (née Martinez) and Ricardo Lezama Sr. on April 14th, 1988. He attended Baruch High School and graduated in 2006. He went on to earn a degree from School of Visual Arts in New York City.

For all who had the pleasure of knowing Devin, he is remembered as driven, compassionate, adventurous, and as having a heart of gold.  He had the rare courage to bring his dreams to life. As the mind behind EDM Maniac, he built more than a brand; he built a movement. From global adventures to carefully crafted merchandise and more recently, a magazine devoted to ravers, every endeavor reflected his mission: to uplift the dance music community and move the culture forward with integrity and heart.

But Devin’s greatest legacy wasn’t in what he built—it was in how he made people feel. He saw potential in others they couldn’t yet see in themselves and sparked confidence, hope, and action in everyone around him. His drive was infectious, his generosity unmatched, and his belief in others, unwavering.

Still, Devin’s story doesn’t end here. His spirit lives on in every beat, every journey, and every person he inspired. He moved through the world with curiosity, style, and soul—and that light remains with us.

Visitation services will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home (3024 Quentin Rd. Brooklyn, NY 11234) on Thursday, August 7th and Friday, August 8th from 4pm-9pm. Cremation services for Devin will be held at Green-Wood Cemetery on Saturday, August 9th at 11am.

Devin is survived by his parents, Lystra and Ricardo Lezama, brother Ricardo (“Mario”) Jr., sister-in-law Nina, and his nieces Ariella and Remi. Devin is also survived by beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins in Trinidad & Tobago, New York City, and Florida.

He is preceded in death by his aunt Debbie Lezama, uncle David Lezama, as well as his grandparents Clyde and Ivy Lezama (née John), and Morgan and Jean Martinez (née) Dhannie.

Devin will be missed beyond words, but we will meet again on the eternal dance floor.

“Transformation isn’t the end, it’s a remix.”
