Patrick Reilly

Obituary of Patrick J. Reilly

Patrick James Reilly departed this life peacefully on June 25, 2025 after celebrating his 86th birthday just 2 days before.

Born in Port Glasgow, Scotland in 1939 he immigrated to the United States in pursuit of a better life, carrying the love of his American musical idols and the dream of opportunity. Embracing his new homeland, he met his future wife, Maureen Dignan. He proudly served as an M.P in the United States Armed Forces.

After his military service, Pat settled in his new life in Brooklyn, NY with his bride, Maureen.

Music was Pat’s lifelong passion. Whether strumming a guitar or introducing his 5 kids to sounds ranging from Blondie to Buddy Holly - the list of his favorites is endless. His love for music, his art, woodworking, all that knew him would know “he was a bit of a scientist”.

He is survived by his wife, five children and 7 grandchildren whom his legacy lives on through—in their strength, sense of humor and most of all, their kindness.

Pat’s journey from distant shores to the heart of the American dream is a testament to courage, sacrifice, and the enduring power of perseverance. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
