Obituary of James Costantino Sr.

James Costantino, Sr., age 74, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025.

James was the beloved husband of Irene E. Costantino. He was the loving father of Carmela Fogarile, Stephen (Christina) Rittenhouse, Paul Rittenhouse, Keith (Patricia) Rittenhouse, Tina (Kenan) Akaydin, and James (Michelle) Costantino, Jr. He was the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and the cherished great-grandfather of one.

Known affectionately as “Poppop” by all who knew him, James was a warm and steady presence in the lives of his family and friends. His greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones—and from cruising in his prized 1984 Cadillac, where he was truly in his element behind the wheel.

James's memory will be treasured by all who had the honor of knowing him.

The visitation for James Costantino, Sr. will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Resurrection Roman Catholic Church at 10:30 AM - the family will gathering at the funeral home by 9:30 AM. The Committal Service will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at Green-Wood Crematory.
