Obituary of Linda Cranston

Linda Cranston passed away peacefully on Monday May 26, 2025. Linda is survived by her loving husband William Sr and children to William Jr (Karolee) Thomas (Teresa) and Darcie (Nick). Beloved Gram to Melissa (Alex), Meagan (Chris), Michelle (Nick), Connor (Angela) Nicholas and her 6 great grandchildren Alyssa, AJ, Poppy, Madilyn, Julia and Nora.

Linda, affectionately known as Gram, was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Brooklyn is her favorite place that holds a special place in her heart. Her favorite memories were playing stoop ball in park slope and roller skating on the weekends with her friends growing up. She had an extremely successful career in finance on Wall Street for over 20 years and was a force to be reckon with in a male dominated profession. After years of hard work and dedication to being the top in her career, she truly found her greatest joy in retirement where she was able to be involved in all of her grand children’s daily lives and activities. Whether it was school projects, sporting games, school dances or important life events, she was always her grandchildren’s number one fan. She was the light of our lives and will be dearly missed by not only her family, but all who knew her.

Wake Service will be on Thursday May 29, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. 3024 Quentin Road Brooklyn, NY 11234, 718-339-8900.

Funeral Mass will be on Friday May 30, 2025 at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. 1950 Batchelder Street Brooklyn, NY 11229.

Committal service will immediately follow to Calvary Cemetery. 49-02 Laurel Hill Boulevard Woodside, NY 11377.
