Obituary of Mafalda Censullo

Mafalda Censullo, a cherished matriarch, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the remarkable age of 96.

Born on June 28, 1928, in Italy, Mafalda was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Virginia (Zambetti) De Spirito. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and family. Beloved wife of the late Mario Censullo, with whom she shared 75 beautiful years of marriage, a union rooted in deep affection and enduring partnership.

Mafalda’s legacy lives on through her children: Angela Martuscelli (Jerry), Joseph Censullo, John Censullo (Nancy), Ralph Censullo, the late Anthony Censullo, Sergio Censullo, Virginia Censullo, and Mario Censullo, Jr. (Regina). She was a devoted mother whose guidance and love shaped generations.

Proud and loving grandmother of Anna Maria, Gus, Rosemarie, Michele, Lisa, John Jr., Alessandra, Mario, Gianluca, Matthew, Ralph, Giovanna, Mario, Stefania, and the late Noah. Her joy multiplied as she became a great-grandmother to Alba, Vincenzo, James, Olivia, Axel, Astrid, Violet, Sadie, Lily, Giovanni, Emily, Zoe, Lorenzo, Alessio, Julian, Molly, and Sofia.

Mafalda leaves behind a legacy of devotion, tradition, and love that will live on in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Reposing on Tuesday, May 20 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 21 at St. Mark R.C. Church, 2609 East 19th Street, Brooklyn.

Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
