Obituary of Maria Barone

Maria Barone, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, at the age of 88. Born in Italy, Maria immigrated to the United States as a teenager, embracing her new life with courage and determination. She worked hard to learn English by attending night school and quickly became a proud and devoted member of her new community.

Maria was the heart of her family, her greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. Her warmth, her unforgettable smile, and her infectious laugh brought light to every room she entered. Whether it was singing, listening to music, taking spontaneous road trips, or soaking up the sun at the beach, Maria found beauty in the simple pleasures of life.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Paolo Barone; her son and daughter-in-law, Sebastian and Christine Barone; her daughter and son-in-law, Adriana and Ted Maisano; and her beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Gianna, and Elisa. All who knew her loved her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A private service will be held to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Maria’s memory by sharing a laugh, a song, or a moment with someone you love.
