Obituary of Gesualdo Ventura

Gesualdo Ventura, age 91, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025. Mr. Ventura was born October 22, 1933, in the Vizzini province of Catania, Sicily. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Ana (Leggio) Ventura.

Beyond his steady hands and iconic barber chair, Mr. Ventura was a pillar of strength, committed to providing for those he cared for. A man who always showed up – for work, family, friends and in life.

A devoted husband to Maria (Dorata) Ventura for 65 years.

Cherished father of Nella Weinheim and Joseph Ventura.

Beloved grandfather of Bianca and Hector Ramos, Aldo Ventura and Enrico Ventura.

Great grandfather of Nella Ramos. 

Calling hours will be Sunday, April 13 from 2:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 14 at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Entombment to follow in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
