Obituary of Andrew Anthony Randazzo
Andrew Anthony Randazzo, 68, passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2025, in Maidens, VA. Born on July 21, 1956, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Matilde Randazzo. He grew up alongside his brother, Mathew Randazzo, and his beloved cousins, cherishing lifelong bonds of family and friendship.
Andrew graduated from Fordham University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2002, he married Ann Widgins, and together, over 22 years, they raised a loving blended family. He was a devoted father to his son, Andrew, and daughter, Christine Carroll (Patrick), as well as a caring stepfather to Ann's daughters, Jennifer Oliver (Maya), Austin Miltner (Tim), and Madison Tillman (Zay). His greatest joy in recent years was being a grandfather to Kaiden (3), Cassius (2), Mason (Mac) (1), and Mazie (7 weeks).
Andrew's career spanned 35 years at Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, where he served as Regional Vice President of Provider Solutions. He was deeply respected for his leadership, professionalism, and the genuine relationships he built with healthcare providers throughout Virginia. His colleagues and friends at Anthem will remember him for his dedication, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to fostering collaboration within the healthcare community.
Outside of work, Andrew had a passion for adventure and exploration, traveling often with his wife, Ann. He found joy in playing pickleball, staying active, and spending quality time with family and friends. His beloved German Shepherd, Abby, was always by his side, bringing him endless joy. Above all, Andrew's main focus in life was his love and devotion to those closest to him. He made it a priority to stay close to his family and friends, always valuing the importance of relationships.
Andrew's legacy of kindness, warmth, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will forever be cherished.
