Obituary of George J. Madden, Sr.

George J. Madden, Sr., 99, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025. Mr. Madden was born July 27, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Francis and the late Elizabeth (Conway) Madden.

He proudly served in the United States Army and was a longtime Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Helen Madden.

He is survived by his children George Madden (the late Arlene,) Veronica "Suzie" Cilla (Nick,) Patrick Madden (Alma,) and Ellen Glasheen (Patrick.)

Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Michael, Michelle, Patrick, David, Mary Ellen, Meghan, Colleen, Keri and Sinclair.

Great grandfather of Alexis, Hailey, Alivia, Lukas, Ellie, Abigail, Alicia, Bella, Mia and Lily.

Visitation to take place on Wednesday, April 9 from 2:00 – 5:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY 11234.

Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Thursday, April 10 at 10:00 AM at Resurrection RCC.

Burial to follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Princeton, NY.
