Rosemary Burke Wheeler

March 29, 1958 – March 4, 2025

Rosemary Burke Wheeler, 66, passed away on March 4, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on March 29, 1958, she later moved to Cairo, NY, where she spent her later years surrounded by the beauty of the Hudson Valley.

Rosemary was a proud alumna of St. Edmund High School and attended Our Lady Help of Christians Grammar School. Later in life, she achieved one of her proudest accomplishments—earning her degree from Columbia-Greene Community College.

She dedicated over 25 years of her career to New York Telephone Company, where she built lifelong friendships and was actively involved in the Telephone Company Emerald Society. She had a deep passion for bringing people together, demonstrated by her role in planning St. Edmund High School reunions and her commitment to volunteering for Toys for Tots.

Rosemary had a special bond with her father, a proud Marine, and cherished the time they spent traveling together to Marine reunions. She was a devoted wife, a loving grandmother, and a fiercely loyal friend.

She was predeceased by her father, James Burke; her mother, Mary Burke (Williams); her brother, James Burke; her sister-in-law, Doreen Burke; and her beloved husband of 23 years, Larry Wheeler.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Goldman; her cherished granddaughter, Shelby Goldman; and her loving godson, Dennis McCaffrey. Rosemary also leaves behind many wonderful friends, cousins, and former colleagues who will forever remember her kindness, laughter, and generous spirit.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her
