Obituary of Mary G. Sharkey

Mary G. Sharkey, age 94, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025. Mrs. Sharkey was born August 1, 1930 in Bronx, NY. She is the daughter of the late Frank L. and the late Mary (Bloomer) Geary. After spending 55 beautiful years married to Francis Sharkey, he predeceased her in November of 2012.

Mrs. Sharkey is survived by her devoted children Loretta Wilson (Tom,) Robert Sharkey, Catherine Sarubbi (John) and Christine Banker (Chris.)

Grandmother of Caitlin, Jamie Jude, Brittany, Breanna, Zach, Jacqueline, Jon Jon, Christian and Casey.

Mrs. Sharkey was a cherished sister and beloved aunt who will be missed dearly.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 11 from 4:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 12 at St. Columba R.C. Church, 2245 Kimball Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Burial to immediately follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton.
