Obituary of Thomas William Winter Jr.

Thomas William Winter Jr. died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025. Tom was born to Thomas Sr. and Agnes Winter on January 1st, 1950 in Marine Park, Brooklyn. Tom was a proud husband to Dorothy for 49 years, amazing father to Thomas III (Sabrina) and Stephen (Kristin) and affectionately known to his Grandchildren, Poppy (8), Belle (6), Emma Kate (2) and Thomas IV (1) as Pa. Tom was a beloved brother to Barbara, Joanne (Philip), Fran (Vincent) and Terence (Rachel) as well as an Uncle to many amazing nieces and nephews. Tom was a very proud member of the New York Police Department serving his city most notably in the 24th precinct in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. In 1976, he was awarded the West Side Chamber of Commerce Medal for superior performance of his police duties.

Tom’s life will be celebrated at a Funeral Mass at St. Columba RC Church, Diocese of Brooklyn at 11am on Monday, February 17th.
