Obituary of Teresa Van Sise
Teresa Van Sise, age 80, of Brooklyn passed away Monday, February 3, 2025. Teresa Van Sise was born May 21, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Gennaro and the late Antoinette (Basilicato) Liguori. Beloved wife of the late William Van Sise. She is survived by her children, Doug & Bernadette Van Sise, Janine & Dennis Mann, Will & Krystianne Van Sise; her grandchildren Samantha(Aneil), Lauren (Anthony), Chris (Julia), Anthony, Lukas, and Waylon; her great-granddaughters Emerson, Laine, Blake, Willow, and Lucy; her sister MaryAnn, her brother Jerry, and many nieces and nephews.
Teresa was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, New York. She grew up in Bushwick and met the love of her life, Willy, at a candy store in 1957. She said she knew she wanted to marry him when she was only 14. They got married in 1963 and planted their roots in Marine Park where they raised their 3 children and started their business.
Teresa found joy in the simple things in life, spending time with her family, hosting Sunday dinners and chaotic Christmas Eves, knitting, reading, and trips to Atlantic City. Her loved ones will always remember her for her stubbornness, determination, resilience, and strength, as well as her countless kitchen gadgets, and many pairs of shoes. Teresa always had a strong faith in God and valued the memories and traditions of her family; she made sure to continue those traditions for the next generations to have and cherish.

Wake service will be Friday February 7, 2025 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. 3024 Quentin Road Brooklyn, NY 11234. 718-339-8900.
Funeral mass will be on Saturday February 8, 2025 at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church. 1950 Batchelder Street Brooklyn, NY 11229.
Committal service will be private.
