Obituary of Nancy Young

Nancy Ann Cahill Young

It is with great sadness that the Young family announces the passing of Nancy Young, aged 79, on Thursday, April 2, 2020 Nancy was born on August 2, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to John J Cahill and Mary (Hopkins) Cahill. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, New York.

Nancy’s greatest joys were spending time with her family and traveling. Nancy leaves behind her children Susan Young of Justin, Texas; Michael Young and Kim Ierardi Young of Goshen, New York; Brian Young of Brooklyn, New York, and Eileen Young of Brooklyn, New York. Grandchildren Krystal Luckett (Michael), Alexandria Smith, Jessica Figard, Nicole Figard, Michael Young, and James Young. Great-Grandchildren Joey Spikings, Alex Spikings, Jazmine Luckett, Michael Anthony Luckett, Marley Luckett, and Inez Koontz. Sisters Nora Fahy (Martin), Catherine Toale, and Patricia Petrie (Walter). Nancy also leaves behind scores of nieces, nephews, their children, and many relatives.

Nancy was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Smith (1963-2006) and her sister Florence
Dosch (1934 – 2014).

Nancy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
 

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a Memorial Mass and celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date.
