Obituary of Richard J. Wayler

Richard J. Wayler, age 93, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 2, 2017. Mr. Wayler was born November 23, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Alexandria (Krasnapolsky) Wayler.  Richard was a proud veteran of the US Navy, having served his country in WWII.  He was a passionate educator who worked for over 30 years as a New York City public schools teacher. 

Beloved husband of the late Catherine M. Wayler. Loving father of Alice W. Major and her husband Thomas, Kathryn L. Wayler and the late Richard J. Wayler. Cherished grandfather of Matthew T. Major (Rhiana), Daniel Major and Meredith Major Teles (Giovanni). Dear great grandfather of William Major. 

Reposing Monday, November 6 from 2-5 and 7-9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 7 at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn, NY. Burial to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York.
