Obituary of Mary M. Cahalan

Mary M. Cahalan, age 74, of Brooklyn entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Mary was born May 14, 1943 in Co. Clare, Ireland. She is the daughter of the late James and the late Josephine (Moloney) Scanlan. Beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Cahalan Jr. Loving mother of James P. Cahalan, Eilish M. Cahalan and John S. Cahalan and his wife Jackie. Cherished grandmother of Kelsey, Caroline, Megan, Patrick and Ryan. Dear sister of William Scanlan (Catherine), Anne Cleary (Noel), Breige Scanlan, Martin Scanlan (Margaret) and the late Gerard Scanlan.

Reposing Thursday, July 6 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and Friday, July 7 from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, 9:45 AM  - July 8 at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, 1550 Hendrickson Street, Brooklyn, NY. Burial to follow at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.

Before her death, Mary had expressed her great wish that people not send flowers as she always preferred that money be spent on the living.
