Obituary of Patricia Ann Stroessner

Patricia Ann Stroessner, age 74, of Brooklyn passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017.  Mrs. Stroessner was born July 11, 1942 in Newark, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Anna (Simonetti) Dicanto.

Patricia Ann was a proud mother raising 3 children and then worked as a representative with the telephone company.

Patricia Ann was known by many in her neighborhood as someone with a “heart of gold” who didn’t have anything bad to say.  She loved being surrounded by her family and friends who thought the world of her.  She enjoyed the talents of Elvis Presley and the excitement of gambling and casinos.

Patricia Ann shared 32 years as the beloved sweetheart of Mario Montana. She is the loving mother of Michael Stroessner with his wife Vickey, Paul Stroessner with his wife Kathy, and Cecelia Clark with her husband Jon.  She is the cherished stepmother of Mario Montana Jr., Caroline Montana, and Kristen Montana. She is the adored grandmother of Michael, Matthew, Joseph, Paul Jr., Danielle, Jaclyn, Amanda, and Elisabeth and great grandmother of four.

Patricia Ann will be missed by her brother Joseph Dicanto and her sisters Maryanne Zetterstrom and Nanette Shaw as well as her many cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

She is welcomed into Heaven by her late sister Jeannie Dicanto.

 

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, July 5 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:45 AM on Thursday, July 6 at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, 1550 Hendrickson Street, Brooklyn, NY. Committal will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 1734 Clinton Avenue, South Plainfield, New Jersey following the service.
