Judith Amplo

Obituary of Judith Amplo

Judith Amplo died peacefully on April 3, 2017 after a long valiant and courageous 15 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was 70. The daughter of the late Al & Dorothy Maroulis, she was born September 3, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY. Judie's youth was marked by her talent as a vocalist with "The Candy Girls" with their well known hit Sugar Sugar, validating her determination and passion of song & music. An accomplishment that most could only dream of Judith's career milestone came early on rather then never at all. As the road of life comes with hills and forks some could say a ray of passion faded from ones eyes having experienced such elation early on. Its clear in the eyes of her sons that motherhood was her destined path and not stardom. A lover of family, friends, animals from dogs to birds was Judith Amplo and so much more. Her hard work and passion was evident in maternity more then music. Life's curve balls with health and hardships, Chris and Andy choose not to remember their mother as a woman who fought to live or deteriorated over time but a mother who worked hard to provide such fond experiences as trips to Aruba and instilling life's moral values, lessons and love as the best a human being could parenting, working and just living as we all try and do. Devoted mother of Andrew and Christoper along with his wife Erin. Loving grandmother aka MEMA to Andrew and Chris. Dear cousin of Marie Bonfardino. Cherished friend of Mary, Kathy and Marilyn whom remained faithful until the end. Fondest companion of the late Steve Tudanger. We would be remiss to not mention Judie's late Gizmo whom St. Francis of Assisi passed to back to Judie's loving arms. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to "Team Fox" in Loving Memory of Judie, so that we may help find a cure to this devastating and unforgiving disease.
